Terms and Conditions
The terms that apply when you use our website and services.
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the website manaboutdogltd.site and any engagement with Man About Dog Ltd. By using this website, you agree to these terms.
1. About us
This website is operated by Man About Dog Ltd, registered in England & Wales, with its address at 29 Lowgates, Chesterfield, England, S43 3TX, United Kingdom. Contact [email protected] or +48 884 837 701.
2. Use of the website
You agree to use this website lawfully and not to misuse it. All content is owned by or licensed to us and may not be reproduced without permission.
3. Information provided
Information on this website is provided for general guidance and does not constitute a binding offer or professional advice. Any proposal or quotation is subject to a written agreement.
3a. Licensing, veterinary care and your dog
Under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) (England) Regulations 2018, providing day care for dogs, home boarding for dogs and boarding dogs in kennels are licensable activities requiring a licence from the local authority. Dog walking is not a licensable activity under those Regulations. We provide a licensable activity only where a current licence for it is held, and we will produce it on request. We owe, and accept, the duty under the Animal Welfare Act 2006 to ensure the welfare of any animal in our care.
We are not a veterinary practice. Only a person registered with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons may practise veterinary surgery, and we do not diagnose, treat, medicate or give veterinary, medical or clinical advice. If an animal in our care appears unwell or is injured, we will attempt to contact you immediately; if we cannot reach you and the matter is urgent, we will take the animal to the veterinary practice you have named, acting on the written authority you give us at the outset, and you remain responsible for the fees. Owners must tell us about any illness, injury, medication, allergy or behavioural issue before care begins, and must keep vaccinations and worming up to date.
3b. Walks, keys and responsibility
Dogs are walked on lead unless the owner has confirmed in writing that the dog may be let off lead and we are satisfied that doing so is safe and lawful in the place concerned; we may keep any dog on lead at our discretion. Group sizes are limited to what can be safely controlled and to any limit set by a local public spaces protection order. We clean up after dogs in our care. Owners remain liable for their dog under the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991 and the Animals Act 1971, including for injury or damage caused by it, and must disclose any history of aggression; we may decline or end an engagement where a dog cannot be handled safely. Keys are held securely, used only as agreed, held without any address written on them, and returned on request. Nothing on this website is veterinary, behavioural or legal advice for your particular situation.
4. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Subject to that, our liability in connection with this website is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.
5. Privacy
We process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
6. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
7. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version published at the time of your visit applies.
